Who We Are

Since 1974, Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas has been a leader in providing 24-hour in-home care to underserved Arkansans. AAAWA is a non-profit dedicated to helping you and your loved ones realize a better quality of life through individually tailored home health services.

Our mission is to assist medically frail individuals in maintaining desired lifestyles through high-quality accessible and affordable alternatives.

Our Work

Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas provides a range of home health services across western Arkansas from its three offices in Fort Smith (Corporate), Paris and Mena.

We bill Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. We also accept donations, memorials and private pay.

We provide care without regard to race, religion, color, sex, creed, national origin, age or physical or mental handicap. We provide services to individuals who have greatest economic need with particular attention to low-income minority individuals and older individuals residing in rural areas.
